Abstract. This publication is a review of the book “Homeland in the Great War of 1941-1945. The images and texts”, which was published for the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War in the frame of joint work of the Russian Society of Political Scientists, the Faculty of Political Science of Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Russian State Archive of Social and Political History. The reviewer notes that the book provides a conceptual understanding of 1418 war days through publication of photos, posters, leaflets and official documents that reveal basic semantic plots of domestic political history of that time.
