Abstract. The article reveals the position of the “Vestnik Evropy” Magazine (“Herald of Europe”) on issues of war and peace in the period of 1903–1905. The evolution of views on the publication causes, course and consequences of the Russian-Japanese war in terms of peacemaking is analyzed.
