Abstract. The article deals with the mechanisms and methods of formation of Russian students that is viewed an innovative group in the implementation of the national model of political socialization; the investigation is based on the results of national empirical studies. The authors formulate recommendations that may serve as the organizational and methodological framework for the activities under the political and legal socialization / resocialization of the youth, for social and political activism and functional models of political behavior.
