Abstract. The article analyses the works of the English (British) and American historians devoted to the description of Operation Blue held by German troops and their satellites towards Voronezh in June-July 1942. The majority of the researchers (M. Howard, M. Folly, A. Mollo, R. Jackson, etc.) came to nothing more than mentioning about the events at Russian and German front in summer 1942. More detailed and deep coverage of the second general German offensive attack is presented in the works by B. H. Liddell Hart, J. Fuller and E. Beevor. Despite descriptive nature, which characterizes the majority of the English (British) and American publications, these studies reflect the questions of planning summer campaign of 1942 by German command, the course of implementation of Operation Blue, appraisal of the moral situation in the Red Army and Wehrmacht regimentations, resume of the second German general summer attack. The author of this paper came to the conclusion that in spite of many covered issues, Operation Blue is not thoroughly studied by the English (British) and American researchers. In general, the works of the English (British) and American historians made a certain contribution to the study of the studied subject.
