Abstract. The article is devoted to the current situation and future development of the cooperation between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and St. Petersburg, the Russian Federation. The problems of interaction between governments and businesses, cultural exchanges are the main subjects of the research work. The author focuses on weaknesses of bilateral cooperation, proposing solutions.
