Abstract. The article gives a review of presentations at a scientific conference “The 1000th Anniversary of Russkaya Pravda – Finding New Meanings” which took place in the Volgograd State University in April 2016.The interdisciplinary approach was suggested as one of the basic tools in social, historical, philological studies to achieve a new perception of the basic source of the ancient Russia’s statehood – the Russkaya Pravda. The leading specialists of Russian universities and scientific centers took part in this conference.
