Abstract. The article discusses the process of administrative breaking of agricultural and credit cooperatives in the Volga German Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. The main activities of the Communist Party and economic authorities in the transition to collective forms of property in the republic are considered; the scale and degree of involvement of population into collective farms are identified; the characteristics of the main activities of the policy of the elimination of kulaks in the Volga German Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic are specified.
