Abstract. The paper is aimed at revealing and describing the peculiarities of combat operations of some artillery armored trains during the Second World War. The article deals with the organizational-tactical questions of compounds armored trains during the Battle of Stalingrad. The efficiency of combat use of this kind of arms in the Red Army is analyzed.
