Abstract. Volgograd oblast boarders on East-Kazakhstan province, it provides the opportunities for developing cooperation with Kazakhstan and other Central Asia countries. The author singles out some objective and subjective factors to determine the level of transborder cooperation. The patterns of commodity circulation structure testify to a positive dynamics, while the commodity volumes leave much to be desired.
