Abstract. The problems connected with reasons and character of Russian and Mongolian bilateral relations’ approaches are considered in the paper. The author researches the role of external and internal factors in Russian-Mongolian relations’ evolution, defines strength and weaknesses of the Russian strategy towards Mongolia.
