Abstract. The demand for conservative ideology is becoming noticeable these days. At the same time conservatism is broader than just an ideology and can be identified in terms of worldview or political philosophy. In the situation of social and political upheavals conservatism is taking shape of theory and ideology. After socialism and the collapse of the liberal project of the 1990s, the conservative ideology seems to be on the agenda in contemporary Russia.
